My Statement
As a Berklee College of Music alum with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Production, I believe that music is the universal language that unites us all. Music, as the language of the universe, resonates through the vibrating frequencies of sound, creating a nexus of perfectly imperfect sounds that touch us spiritually, mentally, and physically. It evokes deep emotions and creates lasting memories, transcending the material realm.

My profound connection with electronic music sparked a passion to share this genre with the world. I aim to provide experiences where people feel truly alive, understanding their essence as vibrating energy. Through my original mixes and live sets, I transcribe the universe's energy into sound frequencies.

My goal is to connect with audiences uniquely, uplifting spirits and taking listeners on a musical journey that elevates their vibration. I meticulously create and select cohesive sounds and rhythms, blending beautiful melodies, powerful vocals, resonating harmonies, vibrant drums, booming basslines, and psychedelic effects. Influenced by Latin music, melodic techno, Afro-house, progressive house, organic house, deep house, and hip-hop, my music aims to inspire a deep love for electronic music.

Biography
Mateo Gomez, artistically known as Cohesive Sounds, was born in Manizales, Colombia, and currently resides in Orlando, Florida. A Berklee College of Music alum with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Production, Mateo's passion for music and dance was ignited early in his life. Growing up in a culture where these art forms are integral, he continued to nurture this love after moving to New York City during his teenage years. In 2017, he transitioned from a raver on the dancefloor to a dedicated DJ and Producer, immersing himself in the electronic music scene.

As a resident DJ for events such as Cumbé, Lechuza Sessions, Trilogy NYC, and Undisclosed, Cohesive Sounds has played at notable venues including Cielo NYC, TBA Brooklyn, Proper Orlando and Borgat House. His original tracks, like "Existence" and "Fantasia," are featured on labels such as SubSolar Records, LW Recordings, Nothing But Records, and Unifi Music Records. His latest single, "Kabiosile Shango," was released in the Summer of 2024, under his own label, Cumbé Records.
